In true Edee form, she had to open the card before heading off to school. She didn't care much about the presents at that time, but the card was fascinating!
I think she is going to read before she is 3! She loves to flip through books and cards!
The inflatable birthday cake greeted us as we arrived at school. Everyone welcomed Edee with big Happy Birthday hugs and high-fives! Her class gave her an awesome beach bag with tools to build a sand castle. Sounds like Daddy needs to take us to the beach, huh??
On Saturday, G-Ma, PawPaw and Daddy worked ALL DAY in the yard! They put down landscape timbers and LOTS of mulch for the playground. They also cleaned out flower beds and burned a huge pile of leaves that has been accumalting for months!
We're hoping for beautiful weather next weekend for Edee's party. Fortunately, we have a back-up plan...the shop! "Daddy's house," as Edee calls it, may become party central if the weather doesn't cooperate! While Edee was at school celebrating with her teacher and classmates, Reed went to the doctor for his 2 week visit. Our little guy has grown over 2 inches since birth and now weighs 7 pounds, 12 ounces! We will go back to the doctor on Monday for Edee's 2 year check-up. We reminded the office staff to bring their ear plugs! She's not a very cooperative patient!
