Saturday: All day in the car! The babies were awesome, but Edee was ready for bed! Unfortunately, the key to the house was missing. We made a few phone calls and were able to get the situation remedied before we faced a complete Edee meltdown!
Sunday: 4th of July parade and gunfight at Frye's Old Town. Edee watched from above at the Kiker's and moved right along with the Native American dancers. We also hung out on Main St. with our friends, The Yates family, at their cool new lodge, Three Bears.
Monday: Up early to play on the playground, grab some pinon coffee and stroll through town. Eric and Edee took the Sami to Goose Lake! Edee wanted ice cream, so we had a little stroller ride after dinner and a bath. What a vacation treat!
Tuesday: Tubing at the ski area, lunch at the Lifthouse, and go-karts in the evening
Wednesday: Exploring another park and wandering through town to visit more friends along the way.
Thursday: Riding the new platinum chairlift! Edee was great for most of the way, but started screaming "I gotta get down" when we were riding above the steeps! We had lunch at the Lifthouse before big nap and dinner with the Kikers (see picture below)!
Friday: Big E and Jamas went to Taos to buy new tires for the trailer followed by downhill mountain biking in Angel Fire. They made the full tour of the Enchanted Circle! They couldn't pass up another opportunity at riding go-karts that evening, and Edee was thrilled to be part of the racing action!!
Saturday: Uncle Jamas, Eric and Edee took the Sami to Greenie Peak. Edee's jeans got a little wet, so the dudes wrapped her legs in a blanket and tied her jeans to the antenna to dry. They looked pretty silly driving up to the house! Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros played an awesome show Saturday night! Eric and I took shifts with Jamas while the other stayed home with the babies. It was a great night!
Sunday: I pushed the babies from one end of town to the other trying to soak up my last mountain morning, while also sweating out the night before! :-) The boys rode dirt bikes with local buddies, Rob and Linton, and I packed for the big trip home!
