Fireman Party

We had a BIG time at Cameron's party on Saturday! He is in Edee's class and his mom is an awesome member of my team at school! Her husband is a fireman and also sells fire trucks, so he was able to bring one home for the party!

The kids were able to take a ride through the neighborhood with lights and sirens blaring!

Brian also hooked up the hose so everyone could have a turn spraying!

Reed even had to get in on the action!!

Of course, we had to pose for pictures on the truck! It was still running and Reed was a little uneasy about the vibrations!

Sara created this adorable cake to top off a fabulous day of fireman fun!!

"We're playing together!"

This is the announcement we love to hear!! Edee and Reed are becoming such great buddies, and she loves to bring it to our attention!

I rarely dress them in coordinating outfits, but I bought these shirts for a motorcycle event we attended in October. They are too darn cute!! Edee just woke up from her nap, so her hair is wild!!

They love to climb up the ramp behind Eric's shop, which Edee calls The Mountain.

She thinks that sliding with Reed is great, but he is not so sure!

Just a swingin'!!

Two babies in a box!!

Sharing some popcorn while watching Cars 2 for movie night!

The Simple Things

What is the best way to spend a Friday night? How about having a campfire in the backyard?!?! Edee napped every day this week, so she and I made a trip to Target for a very special My Little Pony! (You'll see her pictured in the background.) Daddy and Reed stayed here and practiced their fire starting skills!

It was time to roast hot dogs! Yummy!! After some tips from
Daddy, they were cooked to perfection!!

Intense concentration!!

Hot dogs and mustard! A simple treat that's just perfect!!

Texas weather

One day it's 47 degrees, and two days later it is 74!! Gotta love Texas weather!! We made the most of our weekend with lots of time in the backyard! Edee was still for a brief moment before zooming down the slide! Moments earlier, she was holding the hand of her imaginary dragon and saying, "We're going to get married!" She has a huge imagination!

Reed took a tumble on his tractor and COULD NOT get over the tiny pieces of leaves that stuck to his fleece!!

We even brought our lunch out to enjoy a mid-winter picnic!

Oh and did I mention that Eric made each child a modified blow gun?? It "shoots" little plastic pieces with dull points, so that is a relief!! Look out squirrels!! Edee's aim is pretty darn good!

Who knows what next week will be like, but we'll take it as it comes! You know what they say...If you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a few hours!! (Or as I say...then move somewhere else!! Hee, Hee!!)
God Bless Texas!

Where do I begin??

Oh my!! I have voted myself the World's Worst blogger, but I'm hoping to start a new trend in 2012! This is all despite the fact that I lost over 1,000 pictures when transferring to my new phone! I think I've ALMOST gotten over it!! At least 2,400 were saved!
Let's rewind to Thanksgiving!! We made the trip to see Poppy Wally & GiGi! As an added bonus, JoJo and Grandpa Frank joined us from Midland and brought with them lots of yummy food!! After eating lots, we strolled through town. (Some of us napped through town!)

Then, it snowed!! It was a beautiful sight!!

SO...we skied!! Edee is our snow princess! You just can't get her off the slopes!! This is her third year, and she is a natural!!

Even Reed tried it this year! I can't say that he took to it as quickly as Edee, but we'll try again next year!

Eric & I were able to make a few runs while JoJo and Grandpa Frank stayed with the babies. We had a blast!! (I forgot my hat and had to borrow one from Eric!)

I know that wasn't much, but I'll get caught up a little at a time!!
Stay with me...

Edee Bo Peep & Reed the Sheep

I know I am a bit partial, but this is just about one of the cutest costume combinations I have ever seen! :-)

We had such a fun evening! We were going to take the golf cart through G-Ma and PawPaw's neighborhood, but Jamie and Zach invited us to canvas the neighborhood with their family instead. Zach pulled the trailer with his BIG ol' 4-wheeler and we rode in style! Edee was all smiles ALL NIGHT!

Reed is not much for hats and such, so I wasn't surprised that he protested having his sheep hat on!

The neighborhood behind theirs was so hoppin'!! It was like a Halloween block party! One family had created a haunted house in their driveway, people had fire rings out front, and there was something fun and exciting everywhere you looked!

Meanwhile, I decorated our courtyard and put out GOOD candy with a little sign to "take a few!" When we returned home, there was not a single piece of candy missing!!

Glad we ventured out to Halloween Headquarters for a memorable night!

Seasons change...

...and sometimes in the blink of an eye!

I took this picture on the Saturday morning that we woke up in Vail! Clearly, it was a beautiful fall day!

And Carter sent me this picture on Wednesday, just a few days later!! Old Man Winter made his presence known in Colorado!!

Send some cooler temps to Texas! I'm ready for some cool weather camping!!
